DECAF FRENCH ROYAL SELECT
This water-processed decaf is medium bodied and very balanced in it's acidity, bitterness, and sweetness. Notes of molasses and cinnamon are the highlights of this coffee, with a sugary sweetness in the finish. The Decaf French RS has wonderful flavor and is great for both the decaf aficionado and as an after-dinner coffee.

Decaffeination Method: Water Processed
Story: Royal Select water decaf coffee is sourced from lots selected based on cupping evaluations. The green coffee is soaked in water to expand the beans for caffeine extraction. The beans are then introduced to a solution concentrated with coffee solubles that extract the caffeine without extracting the coffee’s particular flavor.
I love this coffee. For me, it tastes like the coffee I’ve been served at one of my favorite cafes in Berkeley. Guests always comment on its flavor when I serve it at home.
Finally, a full flavored decaf. It’s a decaf that doesn’t feel like “something is missing”. It’s my go to from now on.
Good coffee
A friend of mine had this at her house and both my wife and I both thought it was the best decaf coffee we'd tasted. Love the fact it's local! We now buy it at Berkeley Bowl.
We enjoyed the acidity paired with the sweetness.
This blend did not remove flavor when it removed caffeine. It's fragrant, delicious and rich and makes a great cafe au lait with cow, oat or almond milk. I'll be buying more.
